Midland RockHounds Baseball
Kicking off just in time for spring on April 11th, Midland Rockhounds are our Minor League Baseball team and a favorite outing for locals and visitors alike. Catch the fanfare at Momentum Bank Ballpark and enjoy themed nights, great concessions, and America’s favorite pastime. Get your tickets; there’s not a bad seat in the house!
I-20 Wildlife Preserve
Take a walk and get the feel for this dry urban environment. I-20 Wildlife Preserve is focused on conservation and education and is a great spot to reconnect with nature after a chilly winter. Check out their ‘education at the preserve’ classes and bring your young outdoor enthusiasts to learn more about their West Texas surroundings.
Sibley Nature Center
Continue your outdoor education with a visit to Sibley Nature Center and all of its expansive tail systems. Choose a trail and start your stroll – you’re sure to see the natural landscape of the Permian Basin come back to life after a long winter. They offer educational classes, including guided tours and nature-inspired crafts to spark nature-inspired creativity.
Centennial Park
Take a break from the city in this immaculate urban green space in the heart of downtown Midland. There’s so much room to run, play, and welcome the spring weather. Windlands Park
If you’ve never tried your hand at disc golf, there’s not too much you need to know. Just toss the disc and get it in the basket! Windlands is a 55-acre community park that disc golfers flock to. C.J. Kelly Park
Calling all anglers! Springtime means getting back to reeling! C.J. Kelly Park is a 66-acre mixed-use community park with great fishing. Relax and slow down time by the water while catching some Trout or Catfish this spring to start your fishing season with a win.

It’s hard to think of springtime in Midland without thinking of Alldredge Gardens. And there’s no better place to take in spring blooms than during a casual brunch at Cafe at the Gardens. Sip on some sweet tea, listen to the nearby fountains and wandering birds, and take in the scents of spring over a full plate of chef-inspired brunch as West Texas greenery comes back to life.
